These are directions to change the Ad Blocking settings for Norton Internet Security 2003 (NIS for short) under Windows XP to allow your computer to display the CruiseTalk Photo Gallery (& possibly other of the photos in CruiseTalk posts).

Note, after making these changes, the Ad Blocking will still work for all other websites.

Note that NIS 2004 is different. We do not know whether the earlier versions of NIS are different, but assume they are. We also do not know if NIS 2003 operates differently under an operating system other than Windows XP.

Start NIS

Left Click "Options" at top...which will pull down two choices:

---Internet Security
---Norton Antivirus

Left click Internet Security...which brings up the NIS Options window with 5 tabbed pages:

___General____Live Update____Firewall____Web Content____Email

Left click the Web Content tab...which brings up a page...with
---a list of websites on the left &
---3 tabbed pages on the right:

___Global Settings____User Settings____Ad Blocking

We will be concerned with the List of Websites & the Ad Blocking settings

www.travelserver.net must be added to the list of websites, if...
it is not already there & it probably won't be

To add www.travelserver.net to the list of websites:

---Left click "Add Site" button at bottom left...which brings up a "New Site/Domain" window
---Insure that you have keyed in www.travelserver.net in the white block in the window
---Left click the "OK" button

In the list of websites, use the scroll bar to scroll down to www.traverserver.net

Left click www.travelserver.net

Left click the Ad Blocking page tab on the right,

---Left click the “Add” button at bottom of Ad Blocking page…which brings up the “Add New HTML string” window
---Left click the "Permit" button
---Insure that you have keyed in view_ad.asp in the white block in the window
---Left click "OK" button at bottom of the “Add New HTML string” window

Left click "OK" button at bottom of NIS Options window
